The birdlife is amazing in the area, the combination of agricultual farming land and the coast gives unique mixture of birds to Mevagissey. The house looks onto the Mevagissey valley where you can often see birds of pray swooping below you, all from the comfort of the living room!

The Lost Gardens of Heligan
Situated only a 10 minute drive away from the house (or about 45 minute walk). Heligan is a great place for a day out,
with some fantastic collections of plants growing in the tropical like weather conditions of the area. Heligan offers some beautiful gardens and a great cafe. There is a farmshop in the car park selling local produce!
The Eden Project
The famous Eden Project is situated only a 20 minute drive from the house. This is a great day out for all the family with many different things to see and do. Eden gives you an experience which transports you across the world with their different climate zones. The project also has many art examples which are interesting for both adults and children with their interactive zones. Overall, this place is a good day out rain or shine and develops and expands every year.
Mevagissey Feast Week
Feast week is a fantastic festival which takes place at the end of June as a celebration of the summer period. There are many different performances throughout the week, such as music, food, boat races and much more. At the end of the week there is a spectacular firework display choreographed to music which is a great way to end an entertaining week.
